The country's first luxury art hotel, Le Meridien Chambers Minneapolis features over 200 pieces of original contemporary art work from the private collection of the hotel's owner Ralph Burnet. Edgy and controversial pieces from the Young British Artist movement can be spotted throughout the hotel by renowned artists Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Angus Fairhurst, Gary Hume, and Sam Taylor-Wood.

In its fourth year, Burnet Gallery's annual Get stARTed show opens July 21 in the Le Meridien Chambers. It showcases works by eleven students that attend Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and are currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program.
The show stART is a program to recognize and support emerging artists. Works in the show will be available for sale, and the gallery is waiving the traditional commission allowing the full sale price to benefit the artist and the college.

Recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative approaches to visual arts education, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design is home to nearly 800 students pursuing bachelor of fine arts and bachelor of science degrees, post-baccalaureate certificates, and master of fine arts degrees. The College offers courses in advertising, animation, comic art, drawing/painting, filmmaking, fine arts studio, furniture design, graphic design, illustration, photography, print paper book, sculpture, sustainable design, and web + multimedia environments, and its MFA program was ranked one of the Top 50 in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
