The Heartland Project Team and Public Consultation

A process that allows anyone potentially affected by a particular project to become informed and to ask questions and have them answered, raise concerns and have them addressed, and provide input into the project and have their voices heard

Consultation is critical to the Heartland Transmission Project. AltaLink and EPCOR are committed to sharing information about the project and working with the public to ensure all input and concerns are heard, understood and addressed. The Heartland project team, along with the input from stakeholders and various groups, have created a consultation program that includes newsletters, information sessions, scheduled meetings, and individual sessions throughout the project.

The information gathered will be used by AltaLink and EPCOR to continuously refine the project design, including potential routes for the transmission line. Your comments about the project and the commitments we make will be included in a Facility Application (FA) that will be submitted to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC).
